Park View Academy of Sport Selected Once Again to Represent England at the ISF World School Football World Cup – Suzhou, China

Park View Academy of Sport is proud to announce that, following a landmark season as double National Champions, the Academy has once again been selected to represent England at the ISF World School Football World Cup in Suzhou, China.

The Academy has been selected by the National Competitive Schools Society (NCSS), with the achievement of becoming double National Champions recognised as a significant factor in the selection process. This outstanding accomplishment, alongside consistently strong international performances, highlighted the quality, depth, and professionalism of the football programme at Park View Academy of Sport.

Park View Academy of Sport has built a strong international reputation through previous appearances at the ISF World School Football Championships, including competing in Morocco and China. In Morocco, the Academy showcased its ability to compete on the global stage, with performances that demonstrated technical quality, resilience, and professionalism, including a top-five world finish for the girls’ programme. That success led to a further invitation to represent England in China, where Park View once again performed with distinction, gaining valuable experience against elite international opposition and further strengthening its standing as a trusted representative of English schools football.

Park View Academy of Sport has previously represented NCSS and England across two international tournaments, doing so with distinction both on and off the pitch. Those performances helped establish the Academy as a trusted representative of English schools football, reinforcing NCSS’s confidence in selecting Park View once again to compete on the world stage.

The upcoming tournament will see Under 18 Boys and Under 18 Girls squads represent England in a global Schools World Cup competition, facing elite opposition from across the world. Remarkably, this marks the second time any school or college in England has had both its boys’ and girls’ teams selected in their entirety — a rare achievement that underlines the strength and consistency of the Academy’s football programme.

A selected squad of 18 boys and 18 girls will travel to Suzhou, China, led by Park View Academy of Sport coaches, as they aim to compete for world championship honours while representing both NCSS and England with pride.

Founded in 1972, the ISF World School Football Championships are renowned for promoting a balance between elite sport and education, championing values such as fair play, respect, inclusion, and healthy lifestyles alongside high-level international competition.

Lewis Pendleton, Director of Sport at Park View Academy of Sport, said:

“Becoming double National Champions was a huge achievement for our Academy and a reflection of the hard work shown by our players and staff throughout the season. That success, combined with our previous international experiences, has played an important role in being selected once again by NCSS to represent England. We are incredibly proud of what this group has achieved.”

John Gamble, Head of Sports Academies, added:

“Our National Championship success set a new benchmark for the Academy and reinforced the standards we strive to maintain. To have that recognised by NCSS and be trusted once again to represent England, with both our boys’ and girls’ teams, is something everyone connected with Park View should be proud of.”
