PLAY IN A NATIONAL LEAGUE AND REPRESENT CARLISLE UNITED
The Men's Football Development Centre at Park View Academy of Sport combines a variety of academic pathways with high level training and performance. Opportunities exist for players to compete nationally in recognised football leagues.
Park View Academy of Sport are formally part of the
Carlisle United FC Academy structure. This partnership will provide pathways for 16 to 19-year-old footballers to represent Carlisle United in a National League structure. You will represent Carlisle United PV which is the North East scouting network for Carlisle United. 7 players have trained and played for Carlisle United's academy, as well as having players attend the clubs pre-season trip to Hungary. Players have trained with the first team squad previously.
Through this unique and innovative partnership players can benefit from a clear route into a career in sport and perhaps professional football. The squad will compete against Premier League, Championship, League One and League Two football clubs. Such as Chelsea, Burnley, Manchester City, West Bromwich Albion, Tottenham and Crystal Palace.
The Football Academy provides students with the platform to develop their technical, tactical, physical and psychological aspects of their game, allowing players to develop their game intelligence. We make sure all of our students train to their highest potential whilst at the same time excel in the classroom, providing routes to progress into employment, apprenticeships & university, both in England and the USA.
Every player goes through a structured coaching plan and has their own Player's Performance Diary aligned to the EPPP programme. The players' performance programme covers technical, tactical, physical mental and social aspects. The coaching programme has 6 key themes throughout the year that players work towards and are assessed against. GPS data from Player Tek pods, Strength and Conditioning progress reports and match analysis are all used to review each player.
At the end of the year, each player receives a portfolio with their personalised scores and ratings across each of the topics covered in training and matches. In addition each player has his own Youtube page created to showcase his abilities which is used when sending players out on trial backed up by the data in the performance plan.

SCIENCE IN SPORT
Our partnership with leading sports nutrition brand Science in Sport gives students access to their award-winning products which can enhance recovery or increase game performance.
My time at Park View allowed me to get an extra year of developing the physical side of my game. This helped me progress into the professional game.
Going into full time training allowed me to develop sides of my game which I was lacking. This enabled me to enhance these areas, ultimately helping me gain a professional contract.
FC HANSA ROSTOK
It was a year in which I played in a few positions and got to find out about myself as a player. Gained a fitness diploma qualification (PT), something which I haven’t yet come to need, but in the future could be handy, alongside a semi-pro football career, for example. It goes without saying that we had an epic season on the pitch, which is always nice, but most of all for me, I was able to thoroughly enjoy my football, and meet lads who I can say are mates for the long run.
