ABOUT US
Mike Davies will be heading up Park View Academy of Sport Basketball Academy.
Mike is a former Durham Wildcat and local to the area. Mike is also a teacher who has worked and played basketball in the middle-east, competing in the FIBA 3x3 tournament against some of the worlds best players.
Mike brings a strong basketball background, rising through the ranks at Durham (formerly Belmont Wildcats), initially competing in local leagues before entering the NBL and BUCs leagues. In the National Basketball league.
Mike was able to help Durham win multiple championships and the Patron’s Cup on their way to NBL 1. Durham Wildcats then made the leap to the BBL where Mike proudly represented his home county in the professional league.
Mike also represented Durham University, who were sitting in the third division on his arrival. Durham University were promoted for 3 consecutive years to the premiership where they remain to this day. Mike will be leading the academy players through a rigorous programme and hoping to achieve similar results for the team and provide further opportunities for his players. Mike has successfully set up and managed multiple basketball academies in the Middle East so is bringing a wealth of international knowledge to his already impressive UK experience.
Players will receive full-time training, strength and conditioning and competitive games programmes alongside their studies.

VEO is a revolutionary technology that allows games to be recorded without a cameraman. The software allows the user to capture the whole game.
Allowing players to analyse their own performance alongside creating highlight videos for scholarships.
