Cancellation Policy

PARK VIEW SCHOOL – PERFORMANCE ADVANCED MULTI-SPORT CAMP POLICY Introduction The Park View Performance Advanced Multi-Sport Camp is for children in Years 1–7, focused on developing physical skills, teamwork, and enjoyment through structured, high-quality sessions on site at Park View School (DH3 3QA / DH3 4BB). 1. Safeguarding and Child Protection The camp follows Durham County Council safeguarding guidelines. Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL): Lewis Pendleton All staff are DBS-checked and trained in child protection. Emergency contacts and medical information are collected upon registration. 2. Health and Safety Emergency First Aiders: Andy Barron Emergency procedure: Call 999 in serious incidents. First aid kits are available across the site. Daily checks are carried out on facilities and equipment. Qualified staff supervise all sessions. 3. Camp Location and Facilities All activities are held on-site at Park View School, using: 3G Pitch – Football and team sports Indoor Sports Hall – Technical and multi-sport drills Performance Gym – Movement and strength development Grass Pitches – Rugby and outdoor play Athletics Area – Speed and agility training 4. Activities and Risk Management Each sport is delivered with age-appropriate progression and safety measures: Football: Warm-ups required; moulded boots/trainers only; surface checked daily. Rugby: Gum shields required; tackling supervised; drills adapted for age. Athletics: Warm-up mandatory; track and field checked. Gym Sessions: Supervised by qualified staff; correct technique enforced. Multi-Sport: Adapted drills focusing on coordination and game understanding. 5. Participant Conduct Participants must follow the behaviour expectations set on day one. Respect for staff, equipment, and peers is essential. Disruptive behaviour may lead to removal from camp. 6. Emergency Procedures Staff have access to emergency contact details. Park View School’s evacuation and lockdown protocols are followed. Headcounts are conducted before and after all sessions. 7. Review and Monitoring This policy is reviewed prior to each camp. Staff feedback informs future improvements to maintain a safe and engaging experience for all.
